Thank you for your reply Dave.  As I thought, you did assert that you had obtained these facts you posted
from a "confidential source" that you would not indulge.  That is all I expected you to say anyway, so thank
you for admitting it.  Now Mark himself has posted on the "laying it all out" thread that it is he himself who
"knows all about everything to do with Terry from the time of his birth".  I guess it is him saying that he is
the source for the information about Terry and siblings and his mother helping to butcher animals.  He says
he has read all their recent statements.

Even if he did read these and they are absolute fact, it still doesn't prove anything about Terry's nature.  Are we
to believe that his mother and siblings made statements about Terry to make him look like a bloodthirsty
killer?  I think that is hardly probable.  What they said, if they said it, about the family harvesting animals is
nothing to indicate Terry anymore than it would millions of others.  And Mark, for one, definitely knows this.
He has professed to have been a hunter.  We know he hunted and field dressed deer.  So if this type thing
points at Terry, it also points to Mark himself.

See, that is why the supporters see Mark as a loose cannon, in their own words.  Statements such as these
don't make Terry look guilty.  They might seem to be an indicator to someone like Douglas, who I am sure
has always been fed from the grocery store.  Where things come in neat plastic packages.  Mark knows better
than to latch onto this as proof of anything.  I only see him falling for what Douglas must has said to him.
It is also good to know that they have obtained statements from Terry's family, for I would imagine that in
general they would support him.  They certainly wouldn't being saying he is a killer.

Did Mark (via Douglas) see the parts of their statements about butchering animals as incriminating as he saw
his tape with Terry?   All because Douglas pointed something out to him.  Like Terry referring to himself in the
third person at times in the tape.  Hocus-pocus.  That's all profiling really ever is.  And even the FBI is well aware
of this and doesn't put that much emphasis on profiles.  We usually only hear about the profiles that have
actually been helpful in solving crimes.

If profiling were so great and definite, why did the Green River Killer get away with his crimes for so long.  Many
profilers, from Pat Brown to John Douglas worked on that case.  I think it took the final cooperation of the
prostitutes in the Seattle-Tacoma airport area, a couple of which had run-ins with the killer and escaped, to
finally capture Gary Ridgeway.  The profiles were way off on him.  He was married, had a good stable job painting
trucks for Freightliner and had children at home.

Thanks again, Dave.  I will take it as you said it.  But I don't see what the relevance of posting such provocative
wording.  I just don't think that Terry's birth family sees it as that important.  Only in Douglas', and therefore in
Mark's mind.   Just IMO

Profilers are often way off base. Anyone remember the profile on the serial killer in Baton Rouge? The FBI profile  describes the unidentified culprit as a white male between the ages of 25 and 35. He wears size 10 or 11 shoes and is probably able to lift about 175 pounds.

Turns out he was black for a start!

I am new to the board and have not posted before.  I  have to admit I may be a fench rider.  When I first watched the HBO special I was convienced the three were quility.  I also had serious doubt about John Mark Byers,  I think he is just as scary and freaky as Damien.  That is the reason I am a fench rider being freaky and scary doesn't make you quilty or a killer.   After watching the second HBO special I came to believe JMB just likes the attention.  I believe that is the reason he has switched to a supporter no one wants to film him shooting pumpkins anymore, or leading the Church Choir in song (and no one offered him a recording contract) so he had to do something to get back in the Media.   How sad.    It is awfull to lose a child it a grief and hardship no one should have to ever endure.  However grief, or adversity does not make a person honest, truthfull or of good character.
I would like to address the wild story that Terry Moore at the age of 11 had to crawl up inside the pigs during butchering.  This is stupid,  anyone who have ever lived or a farm, or watch TV for that matter knows a pigs carcass is not big enough for a person to fit inside!  Even a small child!  The animal being butchered is hung from its hind quarters, slit with a very sharp knife from the pelvis to neck, the inards then fall out on their own due to gravity.  The remaining organs are then scooped out with tools or by hand.  Anyone who has ever butchered a hog, deer, steer knows there is absolutely NO reason for ANYONE to climb inside the animal.

Well, I think the one who is pushing this theory claims to be a lawyer.....so it's understandable if he is somewhat confused by reality.

I never gave the butchering issue even a second thought. That is so stupid its not worth debating. I think me and Offmychain talked about the Army but that is about as much as it interest me. I gutted a deer at 13 or 14 doesn't make me a killer just really good at field dressing game.
