I looked for it on IMDB and they have taken it down, does this mean no film? I have not heard anything about it.

It could be changing hands again or indeed shelved altogether.

Personally, if they made it I know it'd be just like Vampire Clan and they'd get some good looking star to play Damien (like they did having Drew Fuller play Rod Ferrell) and there would be legions of screaming preteen girls suddenly wanting to Free the WM3 cause they want to jump Damien's bones even if he doesn't resemble whatever actor they picked to play Damien.

Besides with Byers no longer scrutinized as the prize suspect the movie really doesn't have that ulterior motive cause there's no clear target to paint the bull's eye on anymore.

I think once the case is 100% over and the WM3 aren't released they won't bother making a film really. I mean, there's no 'hook' cause despite the supporter movement's crazy conspiracies they won't be putting any of that garbage to celluloid.

If it ever gets made, I'm thinking it draw more interest after Echols is executed anyway. Strait to video is probably the best it will ever do. I could be surprised but doubt it.

Outside of some small groups -people interested in this case are pretty small and I don't see it grabbing total national attention. If they play the "wrongfully" execution card - it might draw more.

Just my two cents.

didn't the movie "karla" go straight to video too?~ they only have 1 copy at blockbuster & it's always rented~ i would never watch it tho~ donna from that 70's show plays karla~

if the release "devil's knot", wouldn't have to be a work of fiction?, i'm just saying >:D~

They'd probably call it speculative non-fiction.  ::)

I'm not sure about the Karla movie. I thought about trolling for it online but after reading some of the comments - I won't bother watching it. Though the girl was said to have done a good job I don't want to watch a movie that plays the Karla victim card.

If it gets made, Derrickson isn't going to be involved.

He was pretty pissed off to learn that Mara's book was such a load of bullshit.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that's why Fowler contacted me - since it was only days after I last spoke with him.
