Well, you can't deny the fact that the counselor came forward on his own free will because he thought Carson was lying based on what the counselor had told him.

Also, I believe they were playing cards in a large room full of juvi-inmates and supervisors.  The card game ended, and the other two guys left the table, but the room was still full of people.  That was my impression anyway.

To answer Scott - No, I cannot prove Carson was lying.  He might have been telling the truth.  I am not convinced either way.

It seems pretty incredible to me that Jason would've told Carson of all people -- a guy he does not know from Adam

Susan Atkins didn't know Ronnie Howard from adam either.

They were just in prison together.

It's not even rare, Dog.

Well, you can't deny the fact that the counselor came forward on his own free will because he thought Carson was lying based on what the counselor had told him.

The way his 'story' changed so dramaticly once he was under oath tends to raise serious questions about his credibility.

He might have been telling the truth.  I am not convinced either way.

But it's certainly not evidence that Baldwin is guilty, right?

Many killers are caught because of their bragging about their crimes.

Don't get me wrong.  It's evidence, just not the most reliable evidence in the world.

I understand the urge to tell someone, too.  Sometimes it's hard to sit on the truth when everyone around you is still in the dark.  You can tell yourself just keep quiet for a few more months, another year maybe.  But all it takes is a strangely familiar feel to the air, a seemingly unrelated conversation, a strange growing sense of nastalgia, and it's hard to keep the truth inside.

But it's unchallenged evidence.

If the Defense really wanted to challenge Carson, they should have presented the only relevant witness there was.

Like I've said before, it may well be that a jury shouldn't read anything into a defendant failing to take the stand in their own defense, but when a defendant fails to challenge statements they themselves have allegedly made - well, it's just stupid for them to expect the jury to disregard them.

I don't care how many questions of Carson's character the Defense raise - there is no reason for the jury to simply presume he committed perjury when Jason himself never even made that claim.

Same with Misskelly's "coercion".

Supporters just choose to believe what they NEED to believe - and that's what makes them irrational.

Do you, now?  You know, I've read a few cryptic comments from you over the years.

such as, but not limited to: " It must seem anticlimactic when you know how things will turn out", and "I am not a Non or supporter,  I am harder on the NON side, but there is a reason for that".

Now, this weird statement:

Personally, I think youre a flake.  But for shits and giggles, (as LCN would say), let's say you're not, and  I call BULLSHIT.

A lot of booze will do it, too.
