Actually, I can see where he's coming from. After seeing and hearing about some of the disgusting things people will do to your food, I don't send food back if the order is wrong and I don't make obnoxious requests. Especially at fast food places, where the manager is just as likely to be a jerk as the guy handling the food.

No doubt!  I almost never send food back and when something is inedible (burnt in my book), I take a very, very apologetic attitude and am still paranoid.  It just doesn't pay to piss off the people that are messing with your food.   Something my kids should remember.   :D

Is there something wrong with the koolaid in prison or something?

When I was a public defender (long, long ago), some of the clients who were in jail awaiting trial would ask me to bring them red Kool Aid. When I asked why, I was told that inmates aren't allowed to have make-up, so they use Kool-aid as blush and lip color.

Maybe Cary wanted something to make his "girlfriend" look "purdy".   ;D

The 'Forward'  by Vincent Bugliosi cracked me up.    Basically VB is saying, 'go away little man and have fun with whatever the hell it is that you are doing'.   :D

That is one weird web site.

The sickest letter written by a killer I've ever read was what Albert Fish wrote to the parents of the little girl he killed and cannibalized.

I really don't think these murderers should be allowed to have "pen pals".

Pagoda,

I vaguely remember Damien talking about the night they were arrested in Paradise Lost.  I don't remember if he talks about drinking, but do you think this might be what you were thinking of?

As a side note, Cary Stayner, the Yosemite killer had a brother who was kidnapped and stayed missing for 7 years.  They made a tv movie about it "I know my first name is Stephen."  That boy had such a horribly sad story.

Haha well you know I was wondering where the blush came from in those prison documentaries.

Im not sure, my memory sucks.  It was either in Paradise Lost, or maybe in Almost home.  But I guess if it wasnt in the documents it wouldnt matter anyways.

BTW, with that koolaid comment, maybe Damien was talking about being a bitch(prison bitch) in his letter to Shettles?  I just thought it was odd that I have heard 3 men convicted and prison write about koolaid.   :o

Damien wasn't in prison prior to his conviction, he was in county jail.

Personally, I think the book, "I know my first name is Steven" is much better then the TV movie. Also, the newer additions of the book, have a chapter at the end dedicated to the story of Cary Stayner.

Umm...I don't know. It kind of sounds like he's saying "the whiskey, don't know bout beer." Meaning, he's ready to get messed up. Interesting to find that, though.
