Defense didn't pull the call logs and there may have been logs for Damien... or they did and didn't find anything to help Damien only prove he lied about his alibi.

but surely regardless of the defense in this picture the prosecution should have obtained them?
it's standard procedure - someone gives you a confession, you then go and gather all the corroborating evidence you can to back it up. that's their job.
and especially in this case where jessie did not give many details that COULD be corroborated, surely these 2 phone calls would be one of the first steps???
