I didn't "divine" anything.  It's not like I'm just pulling the idea out of the blue.  We can hash and re-hash Jessie's confessions and why he said what he did.  It's been done a trillion and one times.  There are leading questions in those interviews.  Whether you choose to see that or not.  Jessie denied there was physical coercion.  He never said they didn't ask him leading questions.

It's not like I'm just pulling the idea out of the blue.

I know, it was spoonfed to you.

The most hilarious part is that it was created by a documented fraud who's been booted out of the courtroom for pulling the same shit.

Of course, this probably doesn't mean anything.

There are leading questions in those interviews. Whether you choose to see that or not.

What does that have to do with a false confession?

He never said they didn't ask him leading questions.

He never said they did either.

No surprise you chose to presume the WMPD are gulity - but it just doesn't work that way.

You can either present evidence Misskelley's confession was false or you can't.

Nothing was spoonfed to me, Farm.  It's not like Ofshe is the only one who's broken down Jessie's confessions and found leading questions.

If matching "facts" come after leading questions, then leading questions have a lot to do with false confessions.

Really? Did you ask him last time you two hung out?  You have no idea what Jessie has or has not said on the matter except what is on record.  He could have said more, at some point.  In fact, I thought he said something to that effect on camera during PL1.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, ask, and I'll find it.

I don't think the WMPD are "guilty."  Don't put words in my mouth.

I'm not going to sit here and rehash why I think Jessie's confessions are false with you anymore than Mary wants to "rehash the enormous amount of evidence against D, J & J" with me.  If you want to do that with someone who hasn't been around long enough to see that argument replayed a trillion and one times, then be my guest.

And, now, it's time for bed.  Have to work tomorrow.  I will try to remember to come back and respond to anything you have to say from this point on once the sun rises and I wake up...

If matching "facts" come after leading questions, then leading questions have a lot to do with false confessions.

But you can't come up with a single example.

You have no idea what Jessie has or has not said on the matter except what is on record.

So when you said he never stated that they didn't ask him leading questions - you were just pulling that out of your ass, you dont really know if he said that or not.

You crack me up.

He could have said more, at some point.

HAHAHAH!!

What a compelling argument!

I'm not going to sit here and rehash why I think Jessie's confessions are false with you

I understand completly.

Oh, thank you, Addict, for the laugh.

And to think that you just stated on another board you couldn't remember:
  • who said what
  • what you said
  • and if you remembered to put on pants this morning

(OK I made up that last point, but I'm not sure I BELIEVE you did, or if you quite know yourself.)

:D  You're a riot.

No-one would jiggy up for the taxi fare.

Please don't feel unwanted.

Taxi fare? Why would I leave the abode except to wander out to the mailbox to look for my welfare check? It's not like I have a job/life. I can't even remember to put on pants, silly.

I may not want to rehash this in a long drawn-out post, but obviously I can come up with at least one short example. How about this one?...

Quote
DETECTIVE RIDGE: Cutting in the face. Alright, another boy was cut I understand, where was he cut at?
*A63 MISSKELLEY: At the bottom
DETECTIVE RIDGE: On his bottom? Was he face down when he was cutting on him, or
*A64 MISSKELLEY: Mm-hmm.
DETECTIVE GITCHELL: Now you're talking about bottom, do you mean right here?
*A65 MISSKELLEY: Mm-hmm.
DETECTIVE GITCHELL: In his groin area?
*A66 MISSKELLEY: (No audio register)
DETECTIVE GITCHELL: Okay
DETECTIVE RIDGE: Do you know what his penis is?
*A67 MISSKELLEY: Mm-hmm, that's where he was cut at.

"Alright, another boy was cut I understand, where was he cut at?"
It would be nice if Jessie had mentioned in his confession that another boy was cut before Ridge asked that question.

"Now you're talking about bottom, do you mean right here?...  In his groin area?"
Right here... Do you think he was pointing or otherwise showing Jessie what the answer was (in his groin area)? Why not just ask Jessie what he means by "bottom"? Especially when Jessie seems to agree that the boy was face down when he was cut.

There's nothing to indicate that he didn't.

See, what would really be nice is if you could come to terms with the fact that Misskelley had already told his story before the tape was rolling.

That's why he was arrested, you know.

You see, a rational person looks at the chronology, listens to the statement, and realizes the reason Ridge fired up the tape recorder was to get Misskelley to repeat his story for the record.

If they didn't already know what Misskelley was going to say, they would have had no reason to record it.

Why not just ask Jessie what he means by "bottom"?

Because unlike Misskelley, Ridge wasn't aware of the fact that Byer's WAS cut on his bottom.

Amazing, isn't it?

Misskelley not only knew things that only the investigators could have known - he knews things they didn't.
