Were Echols and Baldwin "more than friends" ?

It make no differance but I do recall reading somewhere in Devil's Knot where Jessie while doing his "Confession" said something about Damien and Jason having sex with each other. Was this ever confirmed or ruled out? Was this just something Jessie said or were their facts to what he said about this relationship?

thanks for th elaughs but i was looking for more factual answers
For a few months after reading the Devils Knot and watching some of Paradise lost, haven't gotten to read the other boom out there. I really want to write a screen play. I know there has been one or two movies "in the making" for a while but I am not attempting to write a screen play on how they are guilty or innocent, I myself don't have a side. I did not like the police work involved and I thought the justice system was screwed up but I am not saying that 3 innocent teens were convicted or that they did it at all.
What i am attempting to work on is more focused on the people themselves.

Here is what Jessie had to say about that in his "confession"
RIDGE: Okay, the night you were in the woods, uh had you all been in the water?
JESSIE: Yeah, we've been in the water, we were in it that night, playing around in it.
RIDGE: You were playing around in the water, alright, what were you doing in the water?
JESSIE: Just
RIDGE: Besides just playing, the little boys, had they been in the water? Did they get into the water with you all?
JESSIE: No, they didn't get into the water with us
RIDGE: Okay, what were you doing in the water?
JESSIE: We were just sitting there, throwing stuff at each other,
RIDGE: were you all having sex?
JESSIE: No, I wasn't
RIDGE: You weren't?
JESSIE: No
RIDGE: Damian and Jason having sex?
JESSIE: They took turns going up under the water
RIDGE: Going up under the water, what were they doing up under the water?
JESSIE: They were sitting so far away, they were in the water, I would say about five to ten seconds, then come up and then the other one would go down
RIDGE: Okay, so they were just messing around in the water. They called for these boys to come over there?
JESSIE: Yeah, they seen them boys and then they hollered, Damien said, hey, the little boys come up there

Well, WM_ posted exactly what was said. You could also search for it on the search engine at Callahan8 if you want to see for yourself.
Anything else that would be said, would possibly be considered 'heresay', depending on which side you are on, I guess. You may find other various quotes on it, but as far as knowledge of it pertaining to the investigation/trial, that was all that was said on it. With the exception of group sex or orgys during the satanic rituals. But, you wouldn't believe that anyway, now would ya?
Would you believe if someone showed you something that was not 'allowed' by the judge and attorneys anyway?

If you are looking for factual.............this board is filled with people that believe that justice has been served, well not completely yet, but it is on the agenda at least.
The other boards are filled with those whom think that there was a horrible miscarriage of justice, so there should at least be a retrial.
Then there are those on the other boards that believe that the three are innocent.
I would actually just advise you to simply read Callahans and stay off of the slanted boards, you will get opinions, that you say that your not interested in anyway.
The movies are slanted, so I wouldn't watch them either.
And Devils Knot the book was very slanted, so I'd stay away from that.
Blood of Innocents, I didn't feel was too slanted, you might want to read that. It was a fairly good read.
Almost Home by Damien............I haven't read it and don't really plan to, however you might want to grab up a copy of that and read it, from all I have heard, it gives a pretty good feel for his mental status, years after the murders...........might help you put him into prespective. This is a great board, and the others suck
, however they are all filled, of course with mostly views of their stance on the verdicts.
Just trying to point you in the right way.
Have a good day Raymond James

I doubt they were more than just friends. If they were, nothing factual exists for that.
In one of Damien's interviews, he describes LG as a strange guy who smokes dope but is not gay, or something like that. I know that alone does not prove anything, but they "gay" label seemed to be used in a negative light. He went on to say that LG wanted to trade girl friends with him.
You might want to investigate Damien's relations with the person in the adjacent cell after being convicted. He first alleged rape, but later refered to the guy as his friend. There was a removable block that allegedly he crawled through to have sex with the guy. Again, this is far from concrete fact.

I doubt they were more than just friends.
I don't.
Echols said sex was "boring", so clearly he had an unorthodox outlook - (or experiences at any rate).
He also said he had one friend he would die for.

While this is not proof of a relationship between Baldwin and Echols....
One of his psychological tests did indicate some difficulty in the area of sexual identity or confusion.... Card 6 on the Rorshach (ink blot) test.
