People on supporter boards would have had to have found you the same way we did. Unless a NON went and posted on a supporter board. You can find anything on the internet. You don't have to knwo someone.

I have it on my sig when I post on the supporter board, if I happen to run into a newpapaer article and leave a comment I put the url there so people could find us.

As for reading Devils Knot, that was Mara's fairy tale, half of the facts are wrong and she did try to blame Byers along with Pardise Lost and Revelations.
They purposely tried to make him look guilty.

Exactly...I hope cewatson comes to the understanding that Mara's book is no different than the bias portrayed pl1 and pl2.

Hi ce,

Since you seem to be a fan of true crime books, I highly recommend picking up the book The Blood of Innocents. Apart from being a decent true crime read, it provides information about the case which you can contrast with Almost Home to get a balanced view.

People on this board have done the further research to realize that the killers were correctly convicted. The Paradise Lost films were quite powerful in ways (let's forget the film makers follow-up, Blair Witch 2) so the Supporter status started for most on the basis of just seeing the films.

Over the years, most Supporters that register fade away. You see a handful of posts and bang they're gone. A few, like Kerrie and Sheer who post regularly on this board, start off Supporter then find out they've been lied to and switch. There's a group of Supporters who have been around for a decade or more. The new bunch. The theorists, the self absorbed. And the new and old social clubbers.

I'm sure you'll be welcome here (presuming your not a troll, there are a few you know) even if you come to the opinion that the convicted are somehow innocent. Supporters are welcome on this board, as long as they don't act like dickheads. You'll find this is in fact the most liberal of the WM3 boards. You might get verbally beaten to a pulp, but you can say what you want too and still see what you wrote there next day. Many posts get deleted on other boards.

Read all the boards. Get used to Callahans. Watch out for the Wolf and Doll posts, they are Supporters with integrity. I can't think of any others right now.

If all you have done is read Mara's book and seen Paradise Lost (I'm not knocking that - welcome to finding out about the case) did you think that Mark Byers was the likely culprit based on that media?

Are you surprised to see that Terry Hobbs is the new target?

Thank you, Kimbo.
You and flexj are quite possibly the only people who have been kind to me and treated me like a person thus far on this board.

I think there is a significant lack of evidence that supports that those teenagers killed those boys.
However, there is also a significant lack of evidence that can prove it was anyone else.
JMB does have an interesting criminal history, however, and his wife's death is suspicious to me.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty, and to me, there almost aren't enough facts to convict anyone.

I'm not surprised that Terry Hobbs is the new target. Not with JMB pointing the finger.

I found it an unbiased representation of the facts of the case, and the facts alone are enough to realize something went horribly wrong in this case.

That is one of the most hilarious things I ever heard!

There's not one thing without a source to back it up in that book. The research is extensive.

That's a close second!

Mara-wanna's rag of a book is a fucking joke.

As is Mara.

If you wan't examples, you let us know.

I find this interesting because you came here telling people whom you've never spoken to, to "get a clue" and called people "idiots" also claiming that when you came you didn't want to "ruffle anyone's feathers" but then said that it was the most "interesting" part of your day while at work (hmmm....sounds like it was your intention then doesn't it?)

My point is that....if you came here and just talked about the case in an intelligent and respectful manner (regardless of what your view on it was) people here would have given you that same respect....but you didn't.  You came here purposely trying to be abrasive and and "looking for a fight" ....and then you're shocked when people give it right back to you????

It's really kind of Flex and Kimbo to have been so nice to you inspite of the way you acted.....but so many others here would have been too if you hadn't come across the way you did.

Sherry, aside from the "get a clue" comment that I made, which was in response to an already insulting post, the insults came from your side first. I never did intend on any namecalling, until people felt the need to make me look stupid in order to make a point. If the points are valid, they should stand on their own. The insults from me only came as a way to defend myself. I'm not going to sit around while someone calls me a fool.

*You came on here, guns ablazing and told Kerrie to get a clue in your first post.  Noone had ever even posted to you at that point...........cuz we had no idea who you were, or that you were on your way here.*   ;D

It's a pity this person couldn't tell us exactly what a "normal gay guy" was.

That would have been fascinating.

No, my name is not Penny, it's Courtney.
And by "normal gay guy" I mean a gay guy who isn't a child molester/psycho/killer etc.
Someone who is gay and functions perfectly normally in society.
Like I said, a sexuality you may not agree with does not make him guilty. It's the same as playing the "he wears black and listens to Metallica so he's a freak and must be guilty" card. You have to be careful, because you sound ignorant to blame someone for something based on their looks.

That's a spelling used by Wiccans, which he identified himself as. Devil worshipping is not involved in the Wiccan religion.

Look at him.....wth!!!  What regular guy does that??  He's gay!  ....and wth is that contraption he's holding......mirror on a stick??!!.  I guess he needed it on a stick to hold it far enough away so that it wouldn't shatter.  What a scumbag!

You can't be normal gay guy?
Sexuality has nothing to do with guilt.
Get a clue.

The insults from me only came as a way to defend myself. I'm not going to sit around while someone calls me a fool.

First of of all, it was my post, and I was not being insulting.  The wording that I chose might not have been quite right but I was not trying to be insulting.  You had asked :  You can't be a "normal" gay guy?"  .....and my quote was....what "regular" guy does that.  So, you inserted "normal" instead of the word "regular".   When I said "regular" I was referring to "straight" ....so you are saying that my post was "already insulting" by pointing out that he was acting feminine or gay???? It's an observation!!!  And he was acting feminine....imo.  So, where is the insult??????  there was no insult to you...so you could have just disagreed ...but you didn't.  You came here very defensive......and everyone sensed it.

You say that you started hurling insults when people "made you look stupid".  Well....nobody "made" you look stupid.  People were simply trying to point out that you may not be as "informed" as you think you are....and they proved it.   Now, if that makes you "feel stupid" that's a different story.....but again....that's your choice to be in the dark.  The truth is there....if you'd only take the time to read it.

Whether something is insulting or not is relative to the reader.
So, I should not have been offended? I should have just known you used a poor choice of words?
Sorry, but I can't tell your actual intent when you make it out to seem like something else.

Apologies all around.
