I have thought the exact same thing...............except I have found hairs that who knows who they belong to.   Some laces are more prone to collecting than others also.

That's funny, just yesterday at the gym while I was doing leg presses, I noticed a dark brown hair in my shoelace.

My hair is blonde so it wasn't mine.

A tip to anyone thinking about colouring their black hair blonde... DON'T DO IT.

I currently have half yellow, half orange hair and I can't wait to get home and go back to my trusty brown hair!

LOL My son died his hair blond once and it turned out orange. He has coal black hair. He also got a mohawk at the Dew Fest a couple years ago and they died it green. I was surprised that it showed up on his hair.

Oh Flex I am a natural blonde >:D......and sometimes it shows. I have many blonde moments during the week :P

But seriously I bring strange hairs home with me all the time from black people. LOL Most of my clients are black and they are always wanting to hug someone ::)

Emma, I have done that before and failed miserably. I think it's because my hair was dyed an almost black. My hairdresser tells me it's the most difficult colour to remove. I think it's a tad easier for naturally black-haired people to go lighter.

When I tried it my hair became so damaged I had to get it cut really short. I was very unhappy about that!

Yeah, after a few weeks of orange hair I finally gave up and coloured it brown hahaha. I've been colouring my hair black or dark brown for around 7 years so I think there were just too many layers of colour in it to get it completely blonde. Ahh well, I really like the brown colour it is now so it's nice to have non-black hair for once!  :)

It is because of tinting your hair for so long the dark colors.  When you color, the mix you use is a lifter...so everytime you color, it lifts your true color out..and then tinting with dark colors...that keeps the dark deposits on your strand of hair.  You would have to keep cutting your hair and not coloring till all your natural hair comes out LOL  Im a beauty school drop out. :D and with a family of beauticians i kinda had it handed down to me :D
