Obviously you are not from a big city, Mara has a problem with the cops when obviously the only thing at the time they were concerened about was finding the boys. I think you watch a little too much CSI, because unless your someone of importance face it they don't give a shit. Most police are not trained in Crime Scene Investigation, unfortunately I happen to know a few. They are there to serve and protect thats it.

No, I actually never watch CSI. I haven't had cable in years. The police are responsible for collecting evidence and not destroying crime scenes. They trampled all over those woods and then wore the same clothes into the bathroom, so when flexj said:

then of course it doesn't appear relevant when all the soil samples from the crime scene and a man covered in mud are mixed, and when the blood that was all over him was lost. I think who that black man covered in blood and mud is is extremely relevant. Chances are he did it, or saw who did. Clearly he was psychologically disturbed by whatever he did see, as he defecated on himself once he got to the restaurant ... at a time that coincides with the time frame of when the boys were murdered.

If the WMPD were so intent on pinning this crime on someone just to solve the case, wouldn't Bojangles have made the perfect scapegoat? Homeless, black, impaired, bloody...it doesn't make sense, Courtney. Bojangles had scapegoat written all over him, yet the cops pass him over for white kids that listen to mainstream metal? I would agree only:
1: If Jesse had not confessed, and confessed multiple times,

2: If Damien wasn't going around bragging about it, and not have made the claim of wanting to sacrifice his own child with his girlfriend,

3: If he was only half of the monster that came out of his 500 (which his defense team put out, as it appeared they were going to go for an insanity defense at first, which gave us the 500 to begin with or we would have never known just how fucked up he is)

4: That not only they didn't have alibi's, but as Farm and everyone else has pointed to you, they all LIED about it

5: That the Judge, was very cautious in his rulings on the whole court proceedings, and so far nothing has been cited by the ASSC otherwise.

Well Jessie was in that interrogation room a lot longer than what was recorded.
Everyone knows testifying against someone will get you a better deal. I'm sure Jessie felt he had no hope and went along with what the police said. People seem to forget that he functioned at a 5 year old's level.

It's hard to have an alibi when you're such a nomad. They were probably a lot of places that night. Or maybe home alone in Jason's trailer, where they spent a lot of their time. You can't have an alibi when you're alone.

There is no proof Damien ever "bragged" except the testimony from a young kid who could barely string together a sentence. I've seen the testimony. It's bogus. Sorry kid, you forgot your lines. Maybe you should get your money back from whoever paid you off. And who did he make that "claim" about sacrificing his child? Another dumb shit witness.

And the judge was cautious? Yeah, by letting the Prosecutors get away with everything and not allowing anything the defense asked for. Wouldn't want to accidentally sway the jury. Oh, but he sure was good at giving bullshit reasons for his decisions.

Face it, the cops were in trouble, they needed to get this done to keep the Feds off their backs, they picked up three teenagers hardly capable of anything like this, and they made up stories that pointed the finger, and NO ONE FUCKING CARED that half this shit didn't make sense. Like the guy who SWORE Damien had caused him to levitate or the guy who SWORE the cops told him they found body parts under Damien's bed (and the cops probably did say that). Leave it to a bunch of ignorant, obese, lazy hicks to do this. They considered those boys throwaways because they were different, with absolutely no real motive, no physical evidence, and the testimony of a bunch of crackheads and people holding fake PhD's.

And like I said earlier, plenty of people are fucked up and don't turn to such savage violence. His 500 has so many exaggerations in it it's ridiculous. You guys have to be fucking kidding me to think anyone should be convicted and sentenced to DEATH based on the "confession" of a retard and what someone MIGHT be capable of. It was one of the happier times in Damien's life, he had no reason to commit such an awful act. Give me one good reason he would have had to do this.

Not for 12 hours that is for sure. Yes Jessie felt there was no hope because he fucked up his entire life along with Michael Moore's and his family. You know he is the one that could have saved at least Michael and maybe the other two kids if only he would have beat the crap of Jason and Damien. So now the doctors are making shit up? What exactly was exaggerated in the 500? And he wasn't sentenced to death based on Jessie's confessions. His own attorneys hung his stupid ass by introducing the 500 into the sentencing phase. And believe it or not, in the real scary world, there doesn't have to be a reason for people to kill.

You could be right, reading Almost Home was like reading a book from the childrens section. I remember when it first came out Damien was quite pissed because he thought it would sell better. But a lot of people thought it was so great, I thought it was a joke.

And your right about another thing sooner or later you have to get your shit together, I finished school but I liked to party. Sort of fell into the computer world, and decided to go to college while I was working. And I had my own apartment, I remember eating bisquick bicuits for weeks at a time because I had no money, because I was partying way too much.
But I also knew I wasn't going to be working for 10 dollars an hour, but thats called ambition something Damien didn't have.

He had his ups and downs. Everyone did. He did have a miserable home life when he was living with his stepdad. These murders occurred after that.
