...except for "this was offered to Jason".

Okay, so was Jason ever offered a deal or was there ever a hint of deal if he testified?

I know it's a stupid question but the reason I'm asking is because I've seen it mentioned here and there on other boards but no actual document to back it up. So I know the answer. ;D

But who started this rumor? Mara? Some crazed supporter?

There was no deal offered too Jason, after Jessie was convicted they offered him use Immunity, which means anything he said could not be used against him, I believe if they cut Jessie's sentence he would have sang like a bird.

I don't know who started the rumor about Jason, some idiot thats for sure. I don't know if you were on the boards when Jason became engaged to some girl named Jen, she set up a bridal register and supporters sent her gifts and guess what she dumped Jason after he was sending his commisary money for her to come and visit him. Now on her myspace page shes got some good looking guy, too funny.

That's hilarious because Jason got played.

I knew about Jessie's negotiation but I was wondering where the rumor started about Jason's so called offer.

Mara-wanna quoted Ford in Devil snot as saying 'I don't know what the offers were, but they just kept getting better".

Think about that for a minute.

How the fuck does Baldwin's attorney not know what the offers were?

You think the Prosecution was going straight to Baldwin before his trial and Ford didn't say a word about it?

It's another typical load of bullshit.

Oh no doubt about it Farm. I knew it was all bullshit to begin with.

So it was Mara who is the source of the " Jason was offered a deal if he testified but he didn't want to get up there on the stand and lie" bullshit?

Why am I not shocked?

I haven't any of the books, I've just read alot on Cally's and saw the stupid movies. But thank you for answering my question on who the source was. I kinda figured it was her but I wasn't sure.

Out of topic here but i have to make a comment on what i think of Baldwin and Echols. Echols, the "intelligent" guy, manipulative, is a psychopath. The quiet Baldwin, is a sociopath. He doesn't have the "manipulative" skills of Damien, hence my labeling.

One would hope, that for the sake of the grieving parents, and to just give this case a rest, at least Damien would confess and describe what actually happened before he gets his lethal injection. If he does not, I'm afraid he'll become a martyr in the supporter movement, and maybe it will spread. I'd hate that very much.

Sadly, I think that is exactly what will happen.

Martyr to the PL lost supporters, and the 100 or so other groupies?

Who cares, really.

Echols wants to be a messiah. He desperately wants it.

Unfortunately, he's just another murderer on death row.

His writings "oh I can never feel a raindrop" are just pathetic.

He does get time outside you know, Because he CHOOSES not to take it is no-ones' problem but his.

I don't think he'll confess - that would ruin his whole set up - his Saint Damien thing. He of the darting eyes and the "boogeyman" comment has got much more circumspect these days, looking after his interests.

Books, money, killer art, et al.

Martyr? I think not.

He's just another child murderer, and sadly, horribly, he's not the first.
