Ryan Clark and a question

Something I have wondered about and was hoping someone might know.

Ryan Clark in testimony make the following statement:

Q.After you got home from court, was your brother at home?
A. Um-um.
Q. After you found he wasn't at home, did you do anything to look for him there around that area?
A. Yes, sir, I did. I looked around on Wilson Street because my dad said he went to his friend Steve Branch's.

Does anyone know if Ryan was sent to look for Chris at Stevie's before they headed out and met the police at the store for the first time? Now I am assuming that Ryan is talking about after they got home from court which would have been between 5:30-6 roughly but I am very unclear on the time he is talking about in his above statment , so does nayone have any clues?

I may have to go through Mrs. Byers statements again but I don't recall her saying she thought he went to Stevie's and I don't remembering reading a similar statement from Mr. Byers that mentions this specifically.
